Now that is a tasteful and original way to get some nice mood lighting.
You get the style award for sure, and that's not just because I'm partial to blue color schemes!

well its something I have been working on since around febuary when I came up with the idea(I am just one of the laziest people)
Basically its just 2 peices of plastic and a blue neon light
First I took of picture of the WRX badge on the back on my car
Then I took it to a copying machine and kept resizing it until it was the right size that I wanted. Then I had to get my ruler out and mesure all the points of where the actual letters are. Got a solid peice of Delrin and roughed everything in by hand. Drew a print of it on the computer at work and calculated all my tool paths in to cut the actually WRX part out(so its like a hole going though the part). Then i had to order some tinted plastic from a local plastic retailer. Fastened the tinted plastic onto the front of the Delrin. Then the pain in the *** part of measuring my mouting holes inside the car and trimming the peice to fit in there flush. Got some Neon lights to put behind it(why is it that the smaller the neon light is, the more expensive it is?)
Thats the basic jist of it, I know its alot of work but it was a big acomplishment for me.
Total cost of everything was about $90 for the plastic, light, and switch. Took me about 8 hours working to get everything perfect(If i have to do it again though it will be ALOT quiker now i got all the dimensions and the programs) so if you figure at $20 an hour then the total comes to $250.
In case you don't quite understand this.. I have another one that i made.. my first test peice actually(it didn't quite fit right) I'm gonna get a picture of what it looks like out of the car, hopefully by the end of the weekend.

Wow amazing really nice work! I like it very much wouldent mind having one my self but I'm way to lazy to work on that.
