Jeff,
As I have stated in earlier messages..."ATD IS A MAJOR PLAYER" and this statement is going to prove itself on this Group Buy. I will make a promise to each and every buyer, who joins my GB, that he/she will receive a custom leather kit with the "WRX" logo delivered by www.atd1.com, if that logo is so desired. This is the logo that you have seen pictured in my original post. It is of great URGENCY that you get on board, for this offer will no longer be available in future Group Buys. The iron is hot...NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY IF THERE EVER WAS. There is no hidden agenda, its our way of showing all of you enthusiast's that we care about your satisfaction and are willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen. ATD didn't happen overnight...its a 10yr old company whose specialty is LEATHER INTERIOR. We are also a company whose not afraid to raise the bar and even raise a few eyebrows doing it. Our policy is very simple...if your not happy, we're not happy. In closing Iwould like to extend this GB to as many buyers as possible, not just 20ppl. AGAIN THIS IS THE ONE GROUP BUY YOU DON'T WANT TO "MISS THE BOAT" ON IF YOU WANT LEATHER WITH THE "WRX" LOGO.

All I can say for now Jeff, is let it be known...if you don't buy now you will repent later. We're the kind of company that, if we get pushed, we step up to the plate.
Regards,
James...ATD Online

First, I have owned leather in all my cars (except my WRX, but that is coming...) and the pics you show are tell tale signs for a couple things.. Getting in and out of the car with a pocket knife that has a clip so it clips to your pocket or any other sharp objects such as mettal clad belts or the like will cause this type of problem with ANY leather, it also appears to me that the leather was not properly treated.. If this is the case over time even the best Mercedes, BMW or even Porsche Leather will look like this...
My thought on the matter is this, If your worried about wear talk to a bunch of the people that have done this mod, DO NOT JUST base your decision on 1 incident... Because the way this guy treats his leather may be completely different than the way MOST people would treat it...
The stock leather on my Eclipse looked just like that when I bought it, and it was because the former owner never used leather protectant or conditioner and wore a clip knife in his pocket... I have never had this type of problem in cars that I put leather in or that I bought new with leather. Katzkin leather is VERY high quality and lasts a long time if properly treated! I know this from experiences with different cars that have had Katzkin covers for quite some time.
Email ATD1 and ask about the number of complaints they have had from customers for that matter Email Katzkin directly and ask the same question, I have talked to both places personaly and have also talked to and seen first hand MANY people who have this kit. I won't lie to you I have seen two out of the whole bunch that I have seen that looked like the one you pictured and they both had been treated poorly and were not maintained like leather should be.
Buy with confidence, Katzkin's has been in business for a LONG time and uses top quality materials! I would definetly recommend the covers.
(by the way, I am not sure those are Katzkins covers anyway though they very well could be, there is another company that does covers called "classic soft trim" Notice the map pockets on the backs of the front seats and the "flat" inserts... these are typical of Clasic Soft trim , although I am relatively sure Katzkins probably offers the same thing...

Im my experience with leather interiors (Jeep Grand Cherokee, Mercedes 300E, Trans-AM) ... that wear is normal for leather.... you just have to make sure you take care of it ... condition and other leather care products... esp during winter... if you do that on a regular basis .. im sure they will work out just fine for you.
