If you get all the Bulbs i mentioned i could do it all in an hour easy! no need to pay me chuck. just be sure to get a couple extra bulbs incase i screw up.

Oh and the difference is these are a direct replacement LED to the OEM bulbs. no soldering needed unlike traditional LEDs. just a bit of trimming on the 2 Hvac bulbs.

i am wondering if red led's would do anything in the cluster with the green film there (maybe you tried it?). i tried the red condoms on the stock bulbs before and like you said the effect was a dim, brown looking job. i wonder if better results would be seen with the red led's?

i haven't been inside the radio yet, i am wondering if swapping the lighting in that is a direct swap with led's as well?

yes it's very cut and dry. I also tried red and it didn't turn out as vivid as the blue. the blue was by far the best color i tried. i believe amber may turn out almost orange in the Inst. cluster and green would be like OEM but A LOT brighter.

As for the HVAC... Red, Amber and Green worked best. blue was a bit faint.

As for the Keyring.... ANY COLOR will work because it's clear plastic.

Eric,

I actually have a couple of those LEDS sitting here at my desk... I am a tad disappointed though with the results... Currently my dash and HVAC lights all have red bulb condoms on... it's nice but dim. I tried using the LEDS that I have, and they are also dim... I don't understand why...? I got my leds from superbrightleds.com and two of my leds are different, two of them are a cylinder shape but completly flat on the top side and the other two are normal looking LEDs that are dome shaped...

What if you used white LEDS.. what kind of light output would that give you? Or is it possible to change the green backing on the cluster so that the light shines through is not filtered through the green backing?

I also tried to use the LEDs that I have for the TRIP/Miles... and it came out horrible! It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO dim I could not read it... anything other than green is not readable...

Another thing, on my gauge cluster there are two different size bulbs... one is a bigger size bulb where as the others are smaller... Is this also true with yours? What if I just bought the bigger OEM bulbs and used it through my entire cluster... it would put out more light and I could just put the bulb condoms on. Would there be any ill side effect to doing this?

Thanks :-)

weird becase mine came out looking good. It might be based on personal preferance. Other than that my bulb cames ot fine. What could you honestly expect with a OEM green film on the cluster etc!? to be honest these are a x100 times better than bulb condoms and are less bright than traditional Indiglos so i think theyr're peachy and less distracting. im a critical guy too...i guess it ll depends n the person, would you agree?

Eric

Oh and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Check out my picture. the red condoms look good in the radio. www.fotki.com/wrichiex so for the dash...i need to get 194? and make it fit?...i'm talking about the`speedo and tach part.

for the dash aka instument cluster you'll need size 74, not 194! i thought i made this clear in the instructions and materials needed in the first post. You'll need size 194 for the HVAC (the thing with the ***** and adj controls etc).

*Sorry if Ididn't make the instructions clear.

YES!

Yes i tried red too. Red in the gauges=sucks...blue or green in the gauges is best.

However, Red and Green work best in the Hvac and keyring. Blue isn't too shaby in the Hvac too.

A little FYI... the superlumination site seems to be down...

The same distributor/guy owns this site too and has the exact same bulbs. I don't feel light directing a link to each bulb so if you're interested just PM me and i'll tell you exaclty what you'll need.

I have read your article about interior lighting. . . fantastic. I have a question on how to change the lighting on the:
Clock
Foglight/cruise control button
Door controls (ie windows&locks)
OEM Boost Gauge

Everything in my interior is blue exept those things. Any info is greatly appreciated
Thank you for being the "Guru of Lighting"
