Switch out Parking Lights w/ blue bulb.
I think a cool mod on my '02 OBS would be to switch out the parking lights (those little upside down Receecs Penut Butter Cups) with a blue bulb.
Has anybody replaced those things? Any idea how to get at it? Or what bulb size?

I beg to differ...I replaced mine on my '02 OBS with blue LED bulbs, as well as the headlights with blue headlights...It looked real bada** at night, but I have to change the blue LED bulbs with amber ones because Pennsylvania is a ***** when it comes to yearly state inspections...
If you want to replace yours, the owner's manuel outlines it perfectly. Look under "parking lights", I think. It involves taking out the grille, those two little panels between the grille and the headlight assemblies, and then removing the headlight assemblies themselves. It takes about 10 minutes, and is fairly simple if you're comfortable working on your car.

Do you still need the bulb part number for the parking lights?
if you do they are 168.

Let me get this striaght. I should replace parking lights with PIAA Xtreme whites (168 wedge)? One of my clear corner lights blew out. What will work to replace these? And will all this match or at least look good with Sylvania Silverstars? H4? Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

Ok here is my take on the whole running light thing... I upgraded the headlights and fog lamps on my '02 and then did the fog lamp mod... it looked sweet, but it made the running lights look like a dirty brown color in contrast. So I headed down to the local Pep Boys for some #194 Blade replacement LED's (I heard the LED's are MUCH better than conventional bulbs)... I wanted white ones... these "appeared" white... Got them home, took the damn car apart, only to find out they were amber. After going round and round trying to find white ones... I ended up getting some super white bulbs (gave up on the LED's..). Now when I put the white bulbs in and tested the one side, I realized, hell! I don't know which I like better... the white bulbs or the amber LED's (but DEFINITELY not the stock crap ones!) The ambers did look pretty nice next to the amber side marker lamps... Well when all was said and done, I decided on the super white bulbs (after driving around with one of each in for like a week and a half!! LOL). I am actually 2 min's away from going down and washing the ole Roo... I will take some pics and post them a little later tonight... then you can decide for yourself. Good luck in your quest!! heh

That looks good. What kind of headlight/foglights/running lights did you get on your 02? I havent done anything but put clear corners on with some cheap fake hid blue bulbs that came with for $5. They didn't match anything and they just blew out- so I'd like to make all the lights ultimately match. Those running lights look good- how much and where? Thanks.

Thanks. Well I started off changing the stock headlight bulbs out with the Sylvania Silverstar 9007ST for approx. $40.00. BIG improvement. This of course made the fog lamps look a bit dull. So I replaced the stock fog lamps with Nokya Artic White Pro Halogens (Part Number 7215) for H3 for about $25.00. AWESOME. Then the low beams turned out to be brighter than the high beams (due to the fog lamps turning off when the brights were turned on) so I did the fog lamp mod which worked flawlessly. So now my running lights were brownish looking... The stock, 194 blade type CRAP bulbs (heh) were replaced with APC Super White Bulbs (Super Street Series). Those only cost me like $3.00 at AutoZone. While at AutoZone I ran into a friend who hooked me up with a pair of the Nokya Artic White Pro Halogens (Part Number 7214) for like $20.00. So that is ultimately where I am at now... the Nokya's and the APC running lights. I am very satisfied... I mean they aren't HID's - But I suppose its as close as I am going to get. Very bright and very ( <- surprisingly) crisp. Hope this helps!

Hey i changed all my lights to hyper white too, but my fog lights look kinda yellowish. It basically looks kinda stock. The parking lights look bluish. The head lights and the fog lights are the same company and my parking lights are piaas. I can't get it to match. do all those look the same color?

My headlights are hyperwhites, I also have PIAAs for my corners...and it matches quite well...
don't do pure blue. that would just look tacky and cops would be on your ***..
for my fogs i have hyperwhites too but yeah, it turns out stock yellow...PIAA bulbs for the fogs will make them more HID-ish..but that is $$$
