sti jdm headlights
I own a 2002 wrx, I have sti jdm headlights and when I installed them I could not get the
low beams to work. Voltage (12 volts) would get split between low and high beams. Could you help me find directions on the proper installation.
thanks

Here is some info on the factory headlight wiring. This should help you.
It sounds to me like you have the common positive in the wrong place.
The Subaru headlight system is common positive, switched ground. The wiring of the headlight connectors in the car is as follows-
Driver side- common positive = red/light blue (center terminal on connector)
low beam switched ground = yellow/red
high beam switched ground = red
Passenger side- common positive = light blue/white
low beam switched ground = yellow/red
high beam switched ground = red

how do you transfer the wireing from the usdm headlights to the sti headlights ?there are 3 wires that went to one connector
and on the sti lights the low and high beams are seperate from eachother .i split the ground wire to each high and low beam
and ran the other to each bulb and when i put the highs on the both
dim out .
thanks ziptie

You don't split the grounds. You split the common positive to one side of each bulb, and then the low beam and high beam switched grounds go to the remaining side of their respective bulbs.
