sti genome led burnt out. fixable?

hey i just installed some genome gauges in my wrx and the oil temp gauge only lights up half way like one of the leds is burnt out. it looks like this:

is this fixable without having to buy an entirely new gauge? the gauge works fine other than this...

from what I've researched, most, if not all, gauges can be taken apart and you can even change out the LEDs to a different color. So yes, you can take them apart and replace a burnt LED or move whatever is in the way of the light if its working correctly. Take the gauge out of the pod, unplug it and use a flathead or something to pry on the back of the gauge. The gauge casing secures the actual gauge by being slightly rolled/folded over the actual gauge, pry at that and slip it out. I was looking up gauges and changes the colors on the LEDs and thats what I found out. Hopefully you can do that on these. I'm sure you want another opinon from someone else that has genome gauges though. search on google with these terms "change LED on genome gauge" or "change color of genome gauge". I'm sure you will find what you are looking for

good luck! I recommend using a rubber mallet to bend the metal mack into place when resecuring the gauge if, in fact, that is the way to take apart you gauges. I'm sure you'll find the best way when you search it. I usually post before I search too just because its nice to get some peoples opinions if they have ran into issues with the product you are dealing with and whatnot.

I've never tried taking a Defi apart, never even looked into it because the one I have is exactly the same as the genome set techinically.

Look up Defi servicing, maybe you might find more info.
