what do you aero guys think the actual usable benefits of both a splitter and an underbelly (belly tray) would be.

splitter: more downforce, more air through the bumper to the
radiator, more downforce?


underbelly (made out of thick plastic, like a cutting board):

lowers air pressures under the front end by smoothing out the airflow, thus causing more downforce in the front which would increase oversteer??? protects my soft underbelly??? maybe it also reduces the airflow to the engine compartment which reduces cooling of the engine? or does the radiator really do it all w/o needing airflow over and around the actual engine and exhaust manifold?

just been doin some reading and wondered what you guys thought about these mods.

I really want to put on a Greddy front lip painted blue to match car and then possibly add a carbon, or just black, splitter under it if it would actually help performance. i don't want to do it if its just for looks though.

i dont have any real visual mods yet besides an HKS carbon exhaust and 17" rota's; and the dorks at work already call it the "blinkmobile" they mean to say bling, but they're old and did i mention they're dorks? i dont really care what they say about my car, cause i know they just dont get it, although they do brag about the "performance" cars they used to have: vintage camaro's or a 280Z or a porsche 914 (poor mans porshce, correct me if i'm wrong). so in actuality they are not so different from me, or us... But my point is that i want my Rex to be as much of a sleeper as possible, but i'll do visual mods if they are able to effect a performance improvement somehow.
