Skinny guy needs supportive seat
The stock seats are nice, but I'd like to find a driver's seat that is more supportive on the legs and torso. If you upgraded your seat, I'd like to hear what you think. I'm going to use the stock seat belt, if that matters.
Thanks,
Matt

I'm 5'7" and thin, and I find that the stock seats interfere more than they help. The bolsters are too wide and deep for me. The right-hand, side bolster actually gets in the way of shifting. If anyone else out there has found a solution (besides genetic engineering), let me know.
Thanks,
D.

humm...most j-guys including myself are about 5-6 - 5-10
and pretty thin so these seats should fit you just fine.
unless you have some sore back problem or something...
i dont have problems with the factory seats.
i heard something about sparco rails not letting you pull up
to the steering wheel as close as factory so make sure you
know wat you're doing before changing seats. not sure
about the CR1's and the rails from corbeau.

The seats aren't uncomfortable, but I can't seem to find an optimum position for aggressive driving. I find that I have to hook my arm out over the bolster to have adequate freedom on the shifter. If I get lazy, my elbow hits the seat bolster from 1st to 2nd gear. I'm think of making an extension/offset for the shifter ****...
Also, If I'm scooted up closer to the wheel (for best leverage). my elbows again hits the bolster on sharp turns (very distracting at high speeds!). In this regard, I think I would like tighter steering so I wouldn't have to crank on the wheel so much.
Finally, my mid-section is about 2 to 3 inches too narrow for the bolsters to really hold me well in high-g turns. I tend to slide i the seat. This probably wouldn't be a problem if I had a race harness installed. These are probably only issues for people on the very low-end of the size scale: I'm 5'7" 130lbs. Also, these problems are most evident on roads like Deal's Gap (129) that are particularly violent.
