Side Skirts

I have an 02 wrx. I was going to change the black side skirtss for painted one buit I can't get the black ones off. Does anyo0ne know how to do this. Let me know I am in need of help.

I used some needle nose pliers and pulled down the grey circle in the fasteners located on the underside. once they pop down, then you should have no problem pulling out the entire fastener. Only grab a little bit of the grey from the side, then pull it down.

yes I know my instructions are somewhat confusing... but if it is needed, I could take some pics to demonstrate if I can remember tomorrow.

i think its the same for 04 and previous models, there's a small screw like plug in the front inside the front wheel well part of the skirt. then on the button, take a flat head screw driver, and you should see any where between 5-7 clips, that should pop right off. i forget exactrly the number. just find the slot on the clip, and stick the flat head in there, and give it a twist. it'll pop out and then you can pull that plug out. when you've got all those plugs and the wheel well screw/plug out, it should just come right off with a little wiggle.
