Repainting the stock rims help on color

Hey guys

as the title says its time to repaint the stock rims for DD and my auto x set. Currently the DD rims are blacked out as shown here.

AND my auto x rims are just the stock grey color.

Now I was thinking about going goldies or just repainting them black.

Also what color should I do the auto x rims in? any color suggestions is great!

Thanks guys

I put "other." I'd like to see a dark bronze. (thinking RE30) I hope to do that with my silver RS. :P

Hmmm, I share Tsunamisephi's opinion. I think a dark bronze would look great on a black car.
Something like this:

I have no idea if this thread is still valid, since it's so old, lol
But there's my two cents either way =)

WHA? What's wrong with the off-road rally look???

j/k, anyways, I voted Gold, since I really like Gold rims. But they do have a point, Matt Bronze does look pretty good too on Black car...added bonus of the color looking like brake dust too!

Not a great pic of what they look like on my car....I like the red because you can tell that I'm not running stealies....Gives the wheel a little better definition between rim and tire. Just my .02...

Do you need a type of paint to paint the rims or any type of spraypaint is fine?

I would use the Duplicolor line of spray paints. They actually have a line of rim/wheel spray paint that's supposed to work pretty well. I used the clear coat when I painted my stockers, and they seem like they held up pretty well. You can also go and get them powder coated, but I think that costs a bit more than the DIY way.
