Removing Pop Rivets

I am trying to remove the hood scoop on my 2013 wrx,
and from what i have read, you have to remove the insulation foam that is pop riveted to the bottom of the hood to access the the screws,

i have only tried one rivet, which i have now broke in half, is there a trick, or a tool or just a method anyone uses to get these suckas out with out breaking them, as then i can reuse them?

thanks

Are they plastic or metal rivets?

Normally metal pop rivets are one time use, and you'll prolly have to drill them out to not hassle with them too much.

Dang, the 2013's are popped riveted? Mine had plastic clips that held the insulation on. If you don't mind me asking, what's your plan for the scoop?

Aw, got ya. I used a panel removing tool that I got from harbor freight and it worked perfectly. Hopefully you can get them off, if not they sell the plastic clips at most local car stores. I always stock up on those stupid things lol
