Recaro Speed's in My 98 RS

So I just purchased a pair of Recaro Speeds for the front of my 98 Impreza RS. When I spoke with the Recaro dealer he told me I would need the universal bracket from recaro and a car specific bracket for the Impreza. Apparently Recaro does not make a bracket specially for impreza. He mentioned a company on the west coast called "Wedge" or something to that nature. Whats your guys experience with installing recaros in your impreza? Have any info on WEDGE? I have searched to no avail. Only time I've ever seen it referenced on the net was a review a subaru owner wrote about the recaro speeds and the wedge brackets. Any insight promptly would be awesome, in the mean time, they are making great Xbox seats
hehehe
Thanks again

Wedge is a fabricating company near Long Beach, CA. I used to have their phone number, I'll see if I can get it again.
Here's my experience w/ Wedge brackets. I bought a pair of seats (used) that came with their brackets, supposedly they were bought from www.subesports.com , and came with Cobra sliders and Wedge brackets. These are the bracket part numbers: 1208(drivers), 1209(passengers).
I didn't like them, but that's just me. They didn't seem like a very polished or well-developed product. The fit wasn't quite perfect (but even stock seats need some wiggling to position them right), and they looked like they could've been made lighter & smaller if the designer owned a Subaru instead of just making another product to sell.

I replaced these brackets with the seat rails from a 1991 Legacy. They can be modified (drill 1 hole for driver side, 1 on passenger side) to work with most bottom-mount aftermarket seats. Make sure you use long bolts to mount the seats, and add spacers so you don't mess up the slider mechanism (if the seat is too low it won't let the latch move enough to slide forward/back). I liked the design of the Legacy seat rails better, the sliders were smoother and the installation was a little easier. The rails themselves look like they were built with more care&skill than the Wedge setup.

I've also heard that Mike Shields of www.spd-usa.com has a good solution for Subaru aftermarket seat brackets. Contact him, because I dont' remember details.
