Rear Wiper on the Sedan

I've seen pics of forign versions of the WRX sedan with a rear wiper. I was just wondering if it is somehow possible to get and or install a rear wiper on my 02 (US) WRX. It's not so much a style thing as I'd really just like a wiper on the back window.

I've HEARD that there MIGHT be a kit available through SUBARU (don't know if this is true) but what I do know is if there is one then you'll have to replace the rear windsheild as well.

new glass with a "special hole"
Custom wiring
and an arm and motor out of an STi
anyone know if it's possible to put a hole in normal windown glas?,
also will the US STi have a rear wiper such that I'll be able to get the wiper assembly from the dealer?

I did the opposite on my car. I had a wiper on the back of my 92 Legacy RS and some muppet but the back window in 1 night while i was parked in town and it was cheaper for me to get a rear screen in a breakers yard without a hole than go to Subaru for a new one, i very rarely used the wiper anyway.
But if u are going to do this to your own cars remember that a big hole (about 1") will have to be drilled at an angle in the rear parcel shelf to accomadate the motor and the motor is mounted close to the ties that keep the trunk lid raised when its open + you will have to run wires down to operate it and you will need a switch or even a stalk off a subaru that had a rear wiper to work it properly.
I hope i am not putting anyone off this conversion if they want to do it but its a lot easier and cheaper to wipe the water off the rear screen before you start driving

typical 2 things happen that would make me want to have a rear wiper:
1. when its raining while driving the water accumulates... I do typicaly wipe the water off before but after about 10 minutes of driving it's back again.
2.when it's snowing and the back window is foggy I'll used the rear defrosters which will de-fog the back window but then the snow that hits it melts a little and sticks creating a loose sheet of slush on the back window.

im hoping our STi's will have rear window wipers, then it would be EASY to source the parts, much cheaper too!
I cant wait to get this on my car, I think it is LAME that SOA decided to not include this...

If you go fast enough I find the water doesn't have time to accumulate on the rear screen
