Rear safety windows

I wasn't quite sure where this belonged so here it is:

those rear safety windows are pretty annoying, I did a search but couldn't find anything... is there anyway to remove the locks/mechanism that stops the rear passenger seats' windows?

I'm talking about a 01' rs sedan btw.

Well I'd have to check out a 4-door '01 more closely, but it's probably similar to the '02-
Look at the rear doors, and how the wheel opening extends into them. Now look at the window. There is physically no space inside the door for the window to go down any further than it already does.

???? There are no window safety features in the rear. The geometry of the door will not let the window go all the way down. Look at where the rear wheel arch is. There is no where for the window to go.

Actually you would need a whole new car. It has to do with where the wheels are in relationship to the doors.

ah ha!

How about removeable windows? Instead of t-tops we can call them... t-sides?
