Really bright red tail light on one side

I saw this on a gti awhile back. the left tail light was brighter than the other. then today i saw it on an integra but this one had a seperate light on the bumper on the right side that was bright red. wtf is this?

rear fog light. It's pretty common on European cars

It is a hazardous weather light. Many Euro cars have them. It may be that someone replaced the bulb with the wrong one too. Some are parking only(dim) brake only (bright) or a combination of both (dual fil).

oo and this option is available for the 04-05 sedans. (don't know about the wagon) I bought the switch for a buddy of mine last time I was in Japan.

I don't recall off the top of my head but the subie bulbs are dual fil and they are prepped for them.
Everything JDMness is DIY hahaha

It really shouldn't be that hard. Wire a switch to a relay that powers the feed to one of you rear brake lights. Pretty simple actually.
