Hello all,
Well my rear passenger pillar is rattling. It’s not that loud, but loud enough to hear when no music is playing. It’s more like a vibration in the pillar. I took out the plastic cover and I tried to find what was rattling, but could not find anything loose. I thought by layering my pillar with dynamat, it would help dampen the rattling, but I could still hear it. I was thinking of injects some instant foam in the hollow part of the pillar to reduce the sound. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

mine does the same thing and i haven't had the chance to remove that panel. it's a PITA to remove though -- the rear seat, brake light, rear deck, seatbelt cover, and then the top bolt of the seat belt has to come out before the panel can be removed for inspection.

have a ratcheting wrench set handy b/c you'll also need it.

 

this happens on my 04 wagon, and happened on the 04 rental wagon I got from the dealer while my car was being worked on.
