Unhappy Problem with Turn Signal

Hey -

i just did the headlight clearing mod, and I put APC Titan bulbs in for my turn signal. Two problems have come up with this:

1 - the turn signal is not blinking: bulb was inserted, harness attached prior to bolting the light back in

2 - when the turn signal is activated, the clicking noise is twice as fast as it was w/ the stock bulb.

Any suggestions? I made sure everything was secure before bolting it back in. The bulb itself looked like it could go in either way (i.e. can't go in backwards) and the harness would connect only one way.

First thing's first - make sure your blinker fluid is full.

Usually when the blinker goes double-time, that means that a bulb is out. I would try to put your stock bulb back in and see if it works. Then you can eliminate the harness being wrong, and you know it's something to do with the bulb. My hunch is you have a bad bulb. Do both sides do this or just one?

Well I only have the first side done so far (ran out of time) :P
But - the bulb is brand new direct from APC and the stock bulb wasn't doing that prior to the mod.

Throw the new APC bulb in the one that you haven't touched to see if it works. If it doesn't, then you know it's the bulb.

Try not to touch the actual lense of the bulb as it will affect it's life. Top of the blinker fluid and then try the above mention scenario. Make sure you stand on wooden stilts too to avoid being shocked and wear bright clothes (preferably a jail suit) as it will define the bulbs blinking action.
