Paint chipping...should I look for refund or repaint?
I purchased a full bumper replacement and had it painted and installed on october 18th of 2003. Now I am noticing chips on the front bumper, and im not talking about 1 or 2, try 30 or 40, I have not driven it in the snow or rode anyones ***. I have nto abused it at all. I got it painted at a local shop called advantage auto body
, (Eugene, Oregon). I dont remember warranty info but having this many chips is absolutley unacceptable, but im afraid I might be screwed...the chips are all about the size of the eraser of a pencil or a little smaller. What should I do??

The best you can do is go talk to the guy... and be gracious about it. Don't just jump in with accusations.
I had the same experience. Nice guy... big fat whiny weasel. He did no surface prep, no adheresion promoter, no primer. All he did was one coat of paint and and on coat of clear. I was pretty up set. I ended up stripping it myself and painting it myself... and not too bad if I do say so myself.
Life sucks, but sometimes you just gotta move one
