Koji who?

I've seen the Koji style headlights and they're nice, but my version is sorta...kinda....totally different.

tubbytreats,
nice looking ride

Chandy,
I agree that what you have done is quite unique. I just posted that link so people who were interested in the nitty gritty of how to take off the lights and bake them could do it themselves. The pictures and instructions in my DIY make it very very easy for someone to do this themselves on a Saturday afternoon.

Thanks for the pics, I'd like to see a few more of the headlight in the daylight from the side.

Chandy,
Great looking mod, way to take the Koji-style headlights to another level. I've been toying with doing that very same mod as well. I have the hella 90mm projectors, a bunch of JBweld, the HID kit but can't muster enogh time to do it. Can you post more pics of the lights and more importantly how you attached the projectors to the housings.

Thanks!

Whoa man, I'm giving credit where it's due! Chandy's job is great, much better than the Koji mod if you have the time and skill. I posted the Koji link because I wanted people to be able to easily find out how to bake their lights to get them apart without messing up too bad.

Definately a great mod, first of its kind that I have seen for the WRX.

Here is a home made angel / demon eye mod I found. Have yet to try it though.

He uses miniblind rods and a dremel to create them. Interesting...

That's what I'm doing for my BB4 Prelude halogen-to-hid retro fit project right now. Cutting the back out of the halogen reflectors and mounting the new projectors inside. This way the stock aiming adjustment screws work to aim the new projectors.

The reason you see some retrofit projects with the "backing" is so that you can attach the projectors to the stock lights. The xenon projectors I'm using (from a '03 BMW 325 ix) have 2 mount points on top of them, so I drilled 2 holes on top of the stock reflectors to fasten the projectors to the reflectors. I also used some small "L" shaped brackets to connect the lower mounting points of the projector to the stock reflector.

If the projectors didn't have the top mounting holes than a sheet of Lexan or some other high temp resistant plastic could have been used to connect the projector to the reflector. But remember you would have to use JBweld or some other adhesive or brackets to attach the backing to the stock reflectors.

Hope this helps!
and good luck on your project!
