Is it ok to unplug the guage cluster?

No, I have done it 4 times. Just don't start the car and drvie it cause the miliage will be off. That makes it a lot harder to know when to do oil changes and things like that unless you keep track of it yourself. I even got another cluster from a guy that had a WRX and his milage showed up in my car. I hade 19,000 miles, his had just over 15,000. Don't jack with the needles though. Car is off by 6 mph.

The center is hard to take off cause of the angle. But it comes off just like the other two. It is plug and play basically. I have taken mine off cause I was gonna put custom gauges on it and I took it in the house to work on it cause it was cold outside. But my dumbass removed the needles. You are supposed to carfully put them on top of the old ones. And if you want go in the back and remove the green blub condoms. It is simple twist and pull out. I had to recalibrate them by hand and I got them as low as 6mph off.
