I have the DEFI oil pressure gauge and it has been in my car over a year with no problems, but starting a couple weeks ago the gauge has been going crazy. It bounces all over the place and then at idle will drop back to zero. I have not leaked any oil so I think the gauge is malfunctioning. My question is, do you think the sensor itself has gone bad? The other two gauges are still working perfectly, I have checked all connections and nothing is loose.

Any ideas? Do I have to buy a whole new gauge itself? or is it possible to just get the sensor for it? Anyone else had this problem before? I tried searching around a little bit, but couldn't find anything.

 

find out whats broken first. see if you can borrow another gauge from a someone and if it keeps jumping around it might be your sensor
