I've gone through the search and have not found good instructions on how to disable the daytime running lights, I took the glovebox out last night but could not figure out which plug to pull. If someone could tell me like where exactly to look what it looks like and everything, that would be great.

it is the 10 pin green connectors above the kickpod (about 3") which is the relay switch. it is the only 10 pin green one up there. the other connector in that area is like a 5 pin so you can tell the difference.

you don't even need to take out the glove box either if your hands are on the medium side. i disabled mine using just a flashlight to identify the connector.

 

i just unplugged it under the hood. just make sure to secure the wire so it doesnt burn

the DRL unit is "above" and to the right of the two "inkjet cartridge" looking things.

unplug and you don't know to worry about the connectors or taping up the ends like you would if you disconnected the pack under the hood.

 

since i seem to keep writing how to do it here are the pictures.

 

just look next to the glove box under the dash and you will see it.. don't waste your time in taking apart the glove box.

sweet, thanks guys for posting some pics and very good info, i went to scooby mods and stuff but the posts i checked out just didn't get me enough info, this is my first new car, i kinda jacked up my old civic, so i'm alittle weary on pulling plugs on this car, thanks again!

yeah its a lot easier from under the hood, it litterally takes only 30 seconds to do

 

It's not the same to disconnect the unit under the hood and to disconnect the one by the glovebox, but if you have stock headlights and don't plan on changing them or adding HIDs then the under-hood disconnect will suffice.
Explanation-
The silver thing under the hood is only a dropping resistor. It is used to complete the low beam ground circuit when the DRLs are operating. Unplugging it will open this circuit and effectively disable the DRLs as long as the stock headlight system remains in place.
The unit by the glovebox is the actual DRL control module. Even with the above-mentioned resistor disconnected the control module remains active, so it is still applying power to the headlight circuit. If the lights are modified in any way that provides an alternate ground path the DRL function will return and the lights will come on. Unplugging this module assures that the DRLs are disabled for good no matter what you do with your lights.

 

having the brake up a notch is totally safe, and great for your car. I hope you are not doing that.

and the reason people disable the DRL is because they get HIDs
