Mysterious loud noise at high vehicle speed

I have a 2002 WRX with Pirelli P6000 tires and I normally don't drive very fast on the highway but once in a blue moon I really feel the need for speed. As soon as I start flying and when the speedometer is between 125 and 130 I hear a loud noise coming from the passenger side. My wildest guess is an alarm on the ECU or somethin but I'm really wondering what the heck this is? Maybe the tires at very high speed? I'd appreciate any insight into this, anyone else experience the same thing? Thanks

at those speeds i'm more inclined to say its the hood scoop vibrating... but i've only seen it in the 04 models not the 02-03's

I have a 04 wrx and have gone over 135mph with and without the STi hoodscoop. They do shake violently sometimes but never any noise.

The noise should be the mirrors.
Try folding them in.

Ive never heard it because i never go that fast. (whatever) This has been brought up many times and all the threads have come to the conclusion that its the mirrors. Fold the mirrors back and try it again.
