LED replacement bulbs

I want to replace my sidemarker, backup lights, turn signals, and break lights with leds.

I popped out a signal and saw that its 1156, the side marker bulb says 168 on it, the backup lights and break lights I can't make out the numbers on the bulbs. has anyone replaced there lights and remembers the numbers off hand or what replacements were compatible?

I see some leds here http://www.2kracing.com/cgi-bin/part...uct=led_lights that I'd like to use, but I dont want to buy them unless I'm certain they will work (they'r pretty expensive bulbs)

anybody have any experience with this? I appreciate the help

Re: LED replacement bulbs

sigh.. iclub is like a ghost town these days

this is what I found out about the lights incase anybody else needs to know

the bulbs in the side markers and in the little lights in the headlamp that light up when the high beams are off are 194's (or 168 in some japanese metric). the break lights are 7443 and the backup lights 7440 (but a 3157 bulb will fit either if its sanded a little bit), and the turn signals in the front and rear are 1156

I found led replacements here
http://www.2kracing.com/led.shtml
and here

Good links, I checked those out this afternoon. I don't remember anyone here or at nasioc commenting about led replacements, but haven't made a searcheither.

Are there any down sides to switching to led? Other than $$$.

If you believe the marketing, they are brighter & last longer & require less current.

they are definately brighter.. the main reason I like them is because they look clear until they light up, so they'll look really nice in my clear taillights. I also like the way they blip on and off, incondescents seem to glow on and fade away.. also the color looks really pure (the red ones light up red and dont look so much like a white light bulb behind red plastic). I'll see if I can get a good comparitive picture once I get'em installed
