Koji Headlight Mod w/ Different Color
Has anyone done the Koji Style headlight mod using a different color. White on a white Rex? Or blue w/ WRB.
I have a black wagon with new Anthrocite (dark gray metalic) wheels to arrive in two days. I was thinking about doing the HL mod using paint to match the wheels. Then I will repaint my scoop screen, grill screen and radiator screen to match the metalic gray as well.
Does anyone know if you have to use high-temperature paint for the mod or will any quality automotive paint work?
My father-in-law is a professional model tank builder and a master airbursher. He said he could do the lights with stock midnight black pearl with only two bottles of the tuchup paint from the dealer.
What does everyone think?

This is a pretty popular mod mostly done on black Rex's. Koji elaborates on it by adding a sleeve in the turnsignal position to eliminate the orange cover.
I'll just be doing the painting withouth the turn signal part.
The instructions can be found here.

Oh, I get it now... then yeah I've seen quite a few examples of it around... although like you said, on black Imprezas only. Looks like I learned something new

Done...
I did the mod this weekend - just painted the chrome but didn't do the turn signal mod. The whole thing only took about 4hrs.
I went with the flat black because I was having trouble finding the exact color of anthrocite/grey.
Thank you to all the people who posted the mod and inspired me to do it.
Now what do I spend the money I saved over buying Morettes on?...

Final Product - Not Quite Koji
I'm definately glad I did this! As i said before I didn't do the Koji Style turnsignal blinker. I like the way the blinker cover and the side marker match orange and even though the pict doesn't show it well - the window banner is orange also.

Different headlight mod idea
Has anyone tried a bi-xenon headlight retrofit? I saw a Mercedes today and the headlights look very very similar to the 2002-2003 WRX / Rs Headlights, Tell me what you think?...

Why in the hell didn't I think of this a year ago. I got rid of the orange sidemarkers with the sti cf's and have been staring at those huge neon headlights wondering what to do. I decided the jdm black housing lights would be best. Especially on a black rex. But did'nt want to pay 800 bones. I did this mod yesterday with the exception of the pipe. And cound'nt be happier. Pics don't do this mod justice. It really brings out the three dimensional aspect of the headlights. I can definatly think of better things to spend 800$ on. Thanks to koji for a kickass solution.
