JDM BUmper Beam
Where can i find one for 04 sti
i found one but it says it needs heavy modding but do it yourself is easy i dont understand, what are the advantages of jdm bumper beams? plus i wanted to install the jdm foglights and it says it requires jdm bumper beam or cutting of bumper. so will it hinder my car in any way..thanks

The JDM bumper beam is thinner and slightly lighter. I don't it's dangerous, per se, but I doubt it's as tough as the USDM.

its a lot lighter and smaller.
I have it on my GC8 and it was one of the most weight saving part i installed.
Stock beam is so heavy.
The down side is.. when you crash, you'll smash your front end pretty bad.
Basically its there just to hold the bumper cover, instead of actually functioning as protection.
I got into accident (not my fault) with JDM bumper beam and car got totalled, I saw my bumper just flying off from my car. lol
Insurance didnt notice and paid me full value of the car. I doubt any insurance can spot the difference and I dont think its even illegal to put JDM bumperbeam anyways.

Depends on what front bodkit you get, if you want fog covers.
However, if you go FMIC, might not be such a hot idea to put on fog covers.
