My girlffiend's 92 Subaru legacy has an inside mirror that does not hold its position. It's loose and moves all over the place. My question is "Can the mirror be tightened?" Also, I can't figure out how to remove the mirror, if I do need to replace it. I'm sure that the plastic molding has to pop off, but I don't know where and how to push in order to pop it off.

 

Napa and other car part stores have epoxy in small tubes at reasonable prices. I would just yank the dangling mirror off hard and take a glass cleaner to remove any remaining old glue or whatever.
