Well, I just recently got my 97 GT and I was driving on the highway and my hood release fails! I didnt notice that sometimes the secondary latch also gets jammed. I have really bad luck. Now I need a new hood.

I was driving yesterday and I saw another subaru around a 99 I think and it had these two small vents on either side of the hood scoop and it looked pretty cool. These were def factory. It was a wagon but I didnt get a chance to see what exactly it was. Any ideas? and if you know what it is, can that hood fit my car?

 

It was an Outback Sport, which is an Impreza wagon with two-tone paint and the RS/GC hood.

That hood won't fit your car, unfortunately.

 

Darn, it looked cool. I want to keep my car looking stock on the outside but a lighter hood would be good. Is there any other hood that I could get besides the factory one that might help out? I was thinking about a carbon fiber one and painting it. Any Ideas?
