I need Help ASAP!! (armrest extension install question)

I just bought an Armrest extension for my WRX off of someone and I need to know what u have to do for it to clip..I got the 2 screws on the bracket on, but it doesn't "lock in"...is there more to it then jus attaching the metal bracket on the back of the unit??
Please help ASAP!!!

you can also check back with the seller and mention that he didn't send you the locking plate under the console. he should still have it. your only other alternative is to make one yourself as per the above posting.

ps: i have the original but find that my fabricated one locks much better. the stock one may as well not be there- it won't hold the armrest down. i think it's the slot on the strike plate, it's too big.

edit: no my original is not for sale.
