Question How to fix tiny rock chips in windshield

Anyone have any tips on fixing tiny divots in the windshield? Got 2 of them on the front windshield -- they are not cracks, just very small chips. Was thinking about blotting it with krazy glue or something.

my insurance company covered getting one sealed by a rock chip sealer as a safety issue..it isn't gone completely but looks much better afterward. you might consider asking your insurance co. about it (no out of pocket). though for all i know, the 'professional rock chip sealer' just uses krazy glue too

When a professional does it, if it breaks later it's their fault tho

But a professional tends to be a little more expensive

This is not a DIY thing... A friend of mine works at a windshield shop, and I've seen him do rock ship repairs. A small suction /pump device is used that has an input for the 'krazy glue,' and heat is applied (using a bic lighter) from the inside of the windshield. This pressurized method can make the chip disappear completely. If you were to put in krazy glue by hand, the surface would be hard to flatten, and the glue itself would refrract light differently, causing the chip to still be as visible. -My $.02

I've had 3 chips filled on 2 different cars, of the three, only one was noticable after it was done. My latest happened in a hail storm, it was a "Bullseye" lookin one, and it's not at all visible now.
