How can I lower my 04 seats?
I'm 6'3 and got a WRX with moonroof...I clear it now barely but when I'll need to use helmet it will be impossible, plus the extra room would be nice...
I'm just looking to lower my stock seats I know aftermarket are lower but there too expensive and I want to keep my heated seats (canada)...I have no issues with losing the heigh adjustment capabilities!
I just need an inch or 2...help a guy fall in love with is car again!
PS: the adjustment are all at the limits of being backed up and lowered!

I have the same problem. I'm resigned to buying an aftermarket seat though. The stock ones are too narrow for my shoulders anyways.
One way to find out what can be done. Take your seat off and have a look.

He is aware of the height adjustment.
I just put in aftermarket seats, they dropped me signifigantly. Looking at the base mounting points, it would be difficult to fabricate your seat to sit lower because the sliders and mounts are one.
-Good luck.

I'm just over 6'2 and I have a ton of room in my WRX even with the seat height kinda high, and with a helmet.
I think I just have REAL long legs and a short torso

Never get a sun roof. I'm 6-5 and hate them. When I'm at the track in 911s (they all have sunroofs) I have to do the slide and cram my knees into the dash. It holds me really good and some times I do it in the rex cuz of the ability to hold in the seat tight. Your knees are sore after a half hour session though but that's expected. The reason I bought the Rex was the head room I love it, I have the seat jacked way up and me helmet on.
i just want to lower the passenger seats because my driver side is set to basically all the way down, but when my girlfriend comes in, its like im a midget and she is looking down on me!!!
The damn passenger seat is like 2 inches higher, or more!!
i hate it... the passengers thinks i shrunk or something!!!!
HELP ME LOWER THE DAMN PASSENGER SEAT!!

I'd be happier if I were you. You get a better view of her rack
Okay, now that I've said something stupid, I'm resigned to trying to help you out.
AWDrifter21: Get a JDM WRX driver's seat. It'll fit on our passenger side, and have the same height-adjustment lever. Problem solved (for a fat wad of money
)
WRexxer: Are you sitting bolt-straight or something?
Well, you can try to get new, lower seat rails fabricated. It won't be cheap, but it'll be cheaper than getting an aftermarket seat.

www.japanparts.com should have it. Or you could try to arrange an overseas dealership (if not Japan, Hong Kong, Britain, and Australia are other alternatives) to ship one out to you.
If I recall correctly, the standard Impreza WRX seat on overseas models is the same as ours; it's the STi Version that got nicer, slimmer seats (don't quote me on this though

in all seriousness if you are serious about driving like on track days. . . or occasional "hard driving" . . .invest in a 300 dollars seat that seats lowe to begin with.

I have seen this in the pegasus catalog , this price is a steal with the brackets (fabrication may be needed).
Huck , this would be a good one for you to jump on , the dimensions would fit you.My fat bootay can only dream of aftermarket seats, I probably couldn't even fit in an evo3!
This is a bad a@# seat though and definitely will lower you down.
