Hood scoop splitter Q's

I'm sure i'm not the only one who has encountered this problem, the question is:

What has everyone done with there hood scoop splitter after going to a larger TMIC?

I couldn't close my hood with my turbo xs hyperflow TMIC and the splitter. I had to bend the bonet back and out of the way so it wouldn't scratch the IC. That was the only way i knew how to still use the splitter.

I had taken it out cause it was rattling against my hood and it was very annoying. But yesterday on the way to tucson, there was some really strong wind and the scoop was bouncing all over the place. So, i ended up putting the splitter back on for extra support.

I know that a FMIC would solve all my problems, but i'm still running a stock turbo so the FMIC wouldn't be very efficient.

You can try to find an aftermarket splitter for your larger tmic...such as zerosports or APS. The only thing that isn't so great about aftermarket splitters is that they are sized for specific intercoolers (i.e. APS splitter for the APS tmic) and they don't have that rubber collar on them to force the air through the ic.

Closest thing i know of immediately is going with a bigger scoop and using the sti splitter. A buddy of mine on his wrx has the hyperflow tmic and had to go that route. (but he bought the cf sti scoop)

BTW is this on a wrx or sti?
