just athought, but maybe you missed a spot with insulation and the wire is hitting a ground and shorting out the whole system. same thing happened to me when i rebuilt a 1986 subaru rx. never hurts to double and even triple check every wire, make sure that no wires are exposed or broken.

 

might have touched a ground and blew a fuse? that might help and recheck the wires. goodluck
