HKS TT is too bright

I just installed an HKS turbo timer and I'm happy with it except for one thing, at night it's just too damn bright. 4 blue led's, I'm wondering if anyone has any tricks to dim it. Disconnecting/unsoldering a couple of them or wiring in a switch? I haven't opened the TT up yet, just want to get some ideas first. Thanks

That's a good idea, the thought had crossed my mind to try this. It would be really nice if the lights dimmed with the other dash lights, though.

I know, I was just hoping someone had trick solution. I guess I just have to fault HKS for not designing in better lighting for their gizmo. If I were doing it again, I'd probably try to mount it somewhere else. Unfortunately I cut up my dash to install it next to the cupholder. It looks great, just too bright.

Imagine if it were too dim At least this way there are alternatives... like the tinting. Or you could put a resistor inline w/ the lighting power.

After living with it for a while, the brightness doesn't bug me quite as much now, but a two stage light like the stock clock would be nice, bright when the headlights are off (all 4 LED's lit) and dim (only two lit) when they are on. I haven't opened the TT up to see if I could solder in a solution, and I probably won't unless I get really bored on a rainy day.
