High pitched sound at high speeds?

High pitched sound at high speeds?
First off, very quickly, HI EVERYONE. Brand new to the forum. I post sporadically on vividracing.com, but since us Legacy owners are bastard childs, the help I get over there is meager at best. Anyway, on to the good stuff:
Without getting into semantics about how I drive, I have a problem. About 2 months ago, I "needled" my car (120-125ish mph) and I heard a quick buzzing sound. Not the kind of sound you get from wind rushing, but an actual beep/buzzing/annoying sound coming from the dash area. Now granted, it was quick, so I thought nothing of it, BUT!
It has gotten worse. To the point of continually beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeping when over 90 or so. It seems to not buzz as much if I have my windows closed and moonroof shut, but the fact that it's gotten worse overall worries me. Anyone know what this is? Am I damaging something? Can it be taken out? My car doesn't overheat, I don't lose power, but it's freaking me out because if i'm damaging something, I want to fix it, pronto. any help would be appreciated folks. Peace!

When I topped my Legacy nothing happened. It sounds very weird. I can't think of why your dash would buzz. If your not loosing power and your ride quality seems to be the same you may want to call your dealership and ask why your car would make such a noise. Actually it sounds like it could be your black box dependent on the year of the car. Do you own the car? (If your a kid no offense if you are an adult.)

It sounds like it may not be serious, but it wouldn't hurt to talk to a mechanic. Most of the mechanics I have worked with are more than happy to tell about your car. The service department may be able to help at your dealership, but mechanics are better as they are the ones woh work on your car. I dont know why in God's good name there would be something factory installed to beep at you unless it was serious. It could be as simple as a malfunction in your computer from topping it out.
