High Pitched Noise After Engine Shut Off

I have a 2005 rs and just recently I noticed that after trips of 50 or more miles, when I shut the car off, there is a high pitched noise coming from the front of the car, kind of near the top of the radiator. Car has about 20,000 miles on it. Never heard it before. I know cars make all sorts of pops and cracks after running while they cool down and what not, but this is definately not anything related to that. Anyone have any idea what this is? Thanks in advance.

Does it start out as a high pitch tone and then drops lower in a second or so? I believe this is normal... can't remember what exactly it was though.

ok, i guess I wont worry about it. I'm pretty sure it's not the radiator cap, it's more like a "digitally produced" sound, kind of hard to describe. Thanks for the help anyways

Is the fan running during this time? Maybe something pinched in there.

I notice this on my 05 RS too. I beleive that the sound is coming from the horn. It is very high pitch/low volume so many people may not even hear it. Maybe the electrical system discharging excess voltage after you turn the car off?
