high beam shows on dash

ok, I assume you have GDA with stock headlights and have HID with only low beam....so practically you don't have high beam so it must be something with the wiring and so the lamp goes on

It's not normal. Be more specific about what you have (stock or aftermarket lights, how they are wired etc.) and we may be able to help you.

On each side there is a common positive and a switched ground for each filament (low and high beam). Some of these wires are probably crossed on the side that was repaired. You should get it working properly with the stock halogen bulbs first, then go ahead and install the HIDs.
Also before installing HIDs you should disconnect the main DRL module next to the glovebox, if you haven't already done so.
I don't know how your HIDs are wired, but if they are just plugged into the existing harness I suggest moving the negative side of the ballasts to the battery negative rather than using the stock switched grounds.
