HELP: No Dash Lights
So I just bought my first Subaru, a 2006 Impreza wagon, tonight was the first time that I drove it in the dark and to my surprise the dash lights (guage cluster & climate controls) don't work. I located the corresponding fuse, it was blown so I replaced but still no lights.
Any suggestions or similar experiences to share would be greatly appreciated. I would prefer to try fixing this myself before paying my mechanic to do it. I have a multimeter but have no clue as to where I need to start my testing.
EDIT: And before anyone asks... Yes I toggled the dimmer switch to make sure it wasn't set to low.lol.

Okay, so after googling I found this thread on ClubWRX:
http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/interi...sh-lights.html
In the final post, the thread starter says that it was the Integrated Unit and his solution was to pull the unit and solder in a jumper.
I am not doing that (the soldering), so I guess I need to track down a replacement part to test before taking my car to the shop. I will post results as they happen.
Am I really the only person here who has encountered this problem?

Did u recently instal any electrical components? I had iinstall a sti cluster and it kept blowing fuses so I went up zt amps and it was good. Maybe trythat? I think the regular fuse amp was 10 and I changed it to 15

^ No new components, car is completely stock. I could try upping the amperage of the fuse but that doesn't tell me why its blowing. Tonight I put in a new fuse and turned on the headlights, it blew instantly so theres obviously continuity at the fuse panel.
What I don't understand is that the odometer & outside temp display are still lit, I would have assumed them to be on the same fuse. This is so aggravating.

I tried upping the fuse to a 15amp and it also popped immediately. I downloaded the 2006 Impreza service manual but I get so confused trying to read those F'ing schematics. Guess I'm gonna have to bite the bullet & go to the shop.
