Yes, with a 80/100 bulb. What a HUGE difference from stock. I first used JUST the HD socket and see different posts from the other forum saying that there might be drawback to doing so therefore I upgraded the harness as well.

Just the bulb and HD socket, I'd say I see an increase of 40% more output over stock. With the harness, it is like another 50% more output over just the socket and bigger bulb. All in all, it is more like 130% over stock.

Where can we find the HD socket and harness?

choices!

Unfortunately I had to change out my stock connectors to a HD harness due to a burned up socket/connector.I searched and found many choices as I am sure you have too. Some come with 2 miles of wiring and relays going every which way that allow you to plug your stock connector into for power up and some like the one I purchased from Nokya are merely a HD connector with 12 gauge wire which you splice onto you existing harness. I went this route since my goal was to replace the burnt up connector! The theory is solid though since the connector and its wiring (the first few inches or so ) are the load bearing portion of your headlights and are the first to suffer the extra current draw.
I also opted for the more simplistic harness because I knew I would be ordering an HID kit so I should not need those extra relays and grounds.I'll let you know how that goes here.
As for better lighting with a better harness , the less resistance you have , the more current can flow to your light bulb fillaments (larger wiring gives you this) but you would have to be very sensitive to notice it however some claim drastic visible improvements (grain of salt should be included and taken).Bottom line is if your staying stock there's no need to change , but if your considering bulb change out do it before installing the bulbs! The smell of burning plastic in your engine bay is depressing , I know it ruined my day!
