Unhappy Headlight Problem

Yesterday on the way home w/ my wife, I started the car and only my corner lights came on. I then tried several things to see if maybe it was driver error (it wasn't). I found that my highbeams seemed to work ok and that it was only my low beams. I bought my bulbs about 6 months ago. I'm going to buy new bulbs today, but I was wondering if anybody had had the same type of problem or what might cause this other than the bulbs just going out? Any help greatly appreciated

With a quick look at the wiring diagram, I'd say to check Check the DRL relay and M/B Fuses 8 and 9. More likely its the DRL relay since highbeams require 8 & 9 to be working.

If you were using aftermarket bulbs check and make sure you didn't burn off the low beam connector in the 9007 (plug) harness. Higher wattage bulbs will do this .Splicing on a heavier gauge wiring harness is usualy the only answer not to mention the only option. Nokya makes an affordable HD harness as do most bulb manufacturers.

I replaced the bulbs ant that seems to have solved the problem for now. I will definately keep in mind about the harness if in another 6 month my low beams burn out again.

Thanks again for posting your responces
