Headlight help

My passenger headlight doesn't work even though they are brand new bulbs, the guy at autozone said it was probably a wiring problem. Is this a simple thing to fix? Anyone have any tips cause i'd rather do it myself than pay someone else to.

First check the fuses. There are two headlight fuses in the engine fuse box, one for each side.
If you have ever used aftermarket bulbs in your headlights, it is possible that the connectors have been damaged from excessive heat.

If I can remember, i will bring my soldering iron and some stuff and maybe we can get it fixed saturday at the meet. I'll try to remember to bring my volt meter too.

try returning the bulb for another one. check the bulb to make sure its not blown as well. i don't see how it can be a wiring thing if its working one minute and not work next minute. I say bad bulb or blown fuse or........its your car's way of saying it wants HID's haha

If you just bought it take it baqck to the dealership and let them deal with it. Bring a bulb with you so you don't pay stealership prices so they can replace that too, but if wiring is an issue I would just let them deal with it

If the fuse is blown for that side the bulb will light up dimly due to backfeeding from the other side.

Have I met you before? lol it's hard to put faces and names to usernames sometimes.

Buuut rob said I could bring it to subaru on his lunch break and he'd check it so i'm probably gonna do that.

I know it isn't the bulb because it was dim when I got it and I recently replaced them with brand new ones and the guy at autozone said it wasn't the bulb. I think i'll watch them fix it so I can gain a little knowledge lol.

Ha, I Knew that. It would have been my first guess. But I saw 05 and I just didn't think. Plus I've always heard him referred to as tanaka. Not Ryan. My bad John : P

Oh but if I don't get a chance to go to modesto or if I don't hear from Rob, Ryan feel free to bring all that stuff : D it would be greatly appreciated.

headlight getting dim most of the time is the ground is corrotion or bad ground, try check it, make sure from headlight connector ground wire to batter ground is low resistance, like less then 0.4 Ohm. if not then let dealer deal with it will be better.
