Hardware for foglight install...

I picked up a used set of the canadian style fog lights (the little fog lights w/ the black plastic cover piece).

Anyway, it came with the brackets etc. just doesn't have any bolts. I think I see 2 locations the bracket bolts to the frame, then one point where the foglight attaches to that bracket, but I have no idea what I actually need. Think I can just pick up any bolt that will fit in there as long as I get a nut on the end to hold it tight?

Or does someone actually know what I might need to make this work.

Thanks

I don't know

Your car info might help though, like year and model.

If its like my car (99 OBS) the mounting just used normal metric bolts. I don't really know which your talking about though, the ones that mount the whole assembly to the car or mount the lights to the mounting bracket things or what?

Hopefully someone else can be of more help! GL

well it's a 99 2.2L, and I'm wondering about the ones for the whole assembly, brackets and all.

I see the bracket has nuts welded into the back for the foglight itself to be mounted, but what about for the bracket to be mounted into the frame? I guess I'll just try a few and see if it works, I'd imagine the frame part is threaded but can't see.

the frame (as in the car) has threaded holes

I don't remember the size, 5mm maybe???? <-- not sure at all. But I got the bolts at a hardware store!

Good Luck!!!

ya i checked my local lowes, and couldn't really find anything that fit it perfectly...

I'm heading out to my local subaru dealer now to see if I can't get the right bolts figured out, I'm sure they will charge me 5 bucks per bolt, but oh well.
