Unhappy Guage Selection?

I, have an Autometer A-pillar triple gauge pod. Currently housing an A/F gauge and boost guage (both Autometer). Was going with an Autometer EGT but it only reads upto 1600F, thought about the oil pressure but it only reads to 100psi. I, know the WRX during cold start would be pegging the meter at 100psi. I've decided to go with another brand in a center pod for the EGT(2000F) , oil pressure (140psi), and oil temp.. I, want all the gauges to match in the A-pillar, will the Autometer electrical water temp. gauge 100-250F be a wide enough range or do I need one that reads to 300F? This is the only Autometer guage option left for me to complete the pod, don't want to scrap everything at this point. The gauges are the Phantom Series, this situation bites, obviously Autometer guages are more domestic oriented.

Yeah, that water temp guage will work. If your cars coolant got up to 300 degrees, well it wouldnt. Your car would blow up way before that.

You dont really want your car running much above 220 degrees ever.

Thanks, I figured the normal operating temp. would be between 180-210F depending on driving conditions. Wanted to make sure the gauge had a wide enough range.

O.k, I've installed the gauge and have the wires ran through the firewall. Where is the Temp. sender unit located in the 02WRX and is it a 1/8" fitting? Or should I mount it in the heater or radiator hoses?
