front end protection

I bought my WRX in November and the hood already has a few minor rock chips. I really don't like the bras available for the car and I'd like to try something new.

I read an article about an adhesive plastic you can have installed on your car's front-end that protects w/o looking like it is there. I saw the article in The Columbus Dispatch and the pictures showed a guy installing the product on a WRX.

Has anyone seen this on a car or tried it themselves? I'm wondering if it is transparent and clean or cheesy and gimmicky.

Thanks for the heads-up. I didn't think to look there first. I think I found what I was looking for.

There are different brands. . .XPEL, Stonguard, etc. They all use 3M products. I got the XPEL and put it on myself. Haven't had any problems and it performs wonderfully.
