Has anyone else had problems with the heated seats in the 2004 Forester XT? They have changed the way the heated seats operate in general this year, so now after 4 mins on high they shut off. The dealer said that the low setting will stay on, but it does not get warm enough. My girlfirend drives this car on a daily basis and it is her only complaint after having the car since July. I am guessing that they changed it for all of the models in 2004 but maybe people are only just noticing now that it is starting to get colder.
Thanks!

That sucks, i want to burn myself when it cold out with the heat seaters. 4 minutes isnt enough time to even get warmed up! You need to get that kill switch disconnected or something, I dotn have heated seats, but if I did and they turned off before the car even warms up then I would get it fixed somehow! Now I wish i had heated seats!
Good luck!

Yeah... I know why they did it. I spoke to the dealer and evidently they were burning out too many heating elements because people were leaving them on all the time. (Like I would) I guess I need to create a "heated seats Mod" and then post it for everyone else. I am guessing it is just a thermostat or something of the sort. Now to find a wrecked 03 model with heated seats and rip out the old thermostat....
