fog light mod

I was curious on how to have the fogs on without having to turn the headlights on. I have HID's so I disconnected the DRL. SO I want to know how to make it so when I turn the switch one knotch for the parking lights to come on I also want the fogs to come on.
Thanks

theres instructions at scoobymods.com which I'll see if I can dig up and link for you. it involves cutting and splicing some wires behind the fuse box under the steering wheel

with that one that I linked the fog lights are on but the indicator light is only on when the fogs are on normally with the headlights. The second post should have instructions to make the swtch illuminate whenever the fogs are on

no problem. I don't know how well the mod in the second post works as I have not done it, I've only done the first one

ok i found this other way of hooking the fogs up. Instead of slpicing in the parking light wire they use the acc. fuse instead. Would this work better. I think this way the fog lights are fully independent. And in some methods I guess the fogs turn off once the high beams are on idk, I read so many diff threads on this.

heres the link to that way, but will the fogs still work with highs lows and parking? for some reason i think they cut out when the highs come on idk why...http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...5#post12666715

Question

Or, this one. But tell me, if you want the fogs on with parking, lows and highs ~ who cares about the switch. Your fogs are on in every position you choose. Sort of mindless, eh? just push the switch on and leave 'er alone.

all I know is that the scoobymods.com one works, and I have to agree with NW OBS that the indicator light being on is a secondary issue to me and I can tell that my fogs are on because everyones wheels look yellow

but everyone has their own preferences

for the indicator light all you gotta do is rewire , by splicing into what ever wire you use to power your relay and then just ground it, so when your fogs are getting power, the indicter light will get power....

did it by using the method of bending the relay leg instead of splicing wires, and hooked it in the illum. fuse works and looks great but i gotta figure out something cuz my coin holder doesnt close now but its getting too dark out now but im impressed

I did this mod and i recently blew the light switch fuse in the engine bay fuse box. I think its the switch to turn on the parking lights. Cuz if i turn my headlights on then all my lights would work, but nothing did if i just had it set to parking light notch, any reason why this would blow?
