fog light bulbs-wrx sedan

i drive an '02 WRX sedan. is it ok to use H3 12v 100w (instead of 55w) bulbs for my fog lights??? will they just be brighter???

you'll end up melting the harness. use 55w

Mine were fine

I have 100w in my fog lights i have had them for about 2 weeks and traveled 2 hours to and from school and mine was fine. i dont know how it mealts whatever your talking about but it seems like mine are fine.

Yes I do agree, running higher wattage bulbs then stock can result in a melted or damaged headlight harness. I used to run 100 watt bulbs in my 240sx up until one day my driverside low beam went out. The 100 watt bulb that melted my harness was in place for about a year, so be careful.

I have got 85w for my fog lights i believe instead of the 55. is that a huge problem. i have even seen the 125 or higher for 55. is 85 going to melt it?
