Do bumper covers from Subaru come painted?

Do bumper covers from Subaru come painted?
I see a lot of parts sold (i.e. fog light covers, etc.) coming already painted. Is this something from Subaru or done by whichever vendor is selling these things.
I want to get an STI front bumper from the dealer. If I ordered one will I need to get it painted? Not a big deal if I have to...just curious.

i am pretty sure u do, some online vendors or subaru oem parts come painted. i know side skirts do and the 02-03 lip kits came only in certain colors.

Apparently stock body panels and bumpers are unpainted from Subaru.
However, most aero parts sold by a Subaru dealer ARE painted, but are only available in certain colors. These are painted from the factory. Aftermarket items tend to come unpainted, replica Subaru pieces included. These you need to take to a body shop.

Since you're talking about bumper, I have a question. I own a 99 Impreza Outback Sports. My front bumper got hit last night. I'm wondering if I can replace it with a 2.5RS bumper. The one with bigger fog light.
And I called my Subaru dealer here and they said factory bumpers do not come painted.

bulletken, swapping to a 2.5RS bumper shouldn't be much of a problem I think. Don't quote me on that though
