Aside from physical issues such as whether the clusters are the same shape and size and whether the connectors and pinouts match up (which I don't know but I'd assume that they are somewhat different), there is also the issue of how the speedo/odo is driven. In older cars (not sure up to what year) it's cable operated from a gear in the trans, and in newer ones it's electronically operated from a speed sensor in the trans. I don't think there is any easy way to convert from one to the other, and you can't drive an electronic speedo from a cable.
