clock spring question
Hi all, new to the subaru world and trying to fix a few irritants with my impreza.
I have a 98 impreza and the airbag light is on and horn doesnt work, this was my moms car from the factory so I know its history well, lucky me . Its been this way since 2002 haha.
Now that it's my car and I live in San Francisco I need to fix this, can't drive without a horn here, had some really close calls. I've done some research and found that the fix is going to be replacing the clock spring in the steering wheel.
My question is; are these springs backwards compatible? I read they cost an awful lot from the dealer and local junkyards dont have a lot of subarus, there is one for sale here in the classifieds at a good price but its from a 2003 wrx, does anyone know if it will work in my 98 impreza?
Many thanks for any relevant information!
